Plastchem's sustainable impact on the vinyl market
Our Vinyl Record Compounds find their way into music cultures worldwide, from Asia to America, where music, especially in the latter, is deeply rooted in society. Since 2024, Plastchem has had a warehouse in Nashville, a city that symbolizes musical tradition. With a palette of 40 different vinyl compound colors, including innovative effects such as metallic, sparkle, and pearl, we offer a wide range that meets the needs of our customers.
In the vinyl market, forward-thinking and nostalgia go hand in hand
Vinyl records are renowned for their warm sound and nostalgic charm, but behind the scenes, sustainability is playing an increasingly important role. At Plastchem, we're committed to contributing to this shift. Our Vinyl Record Compounds are certified with a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) by ClimatePartner and currently achieve the lowest CO₂ emissions in the market.
Furthermore, the report from the VRMA Group confirms that even our Bio-Vinyl demonstrates remarkably low emissions (see graph below). These results highlight our dedication to responsible production practices. Compared to alternatives such as PET, rPET, and PLA, PVC proves to be a sustainable choice in terms of CO₂ emissions.
ISCC Plus Certified Vinyl Solutions
Our Bio-Vinyl Record Compounds offer the same high-quality properties as our regular Vinyl Record Compounds but with an even more environmentally friendly character. This is made possible by replacing fossil-based raw materials with non-fossil alternatives, without compromising sound quality. Thanks to the ISCC Plus certification on both products, we demonstrate that our approach truly contributes to a sustainable industry.
